Did I hear something about a MN Brass "Star Wars" show for 2008? It's safe to say with our trumpets, and if it sounds as good as this, we could very well have that elusive high brass trophy.

Radiohead is releasing their new album In Rainbows next Wednesday and their doing a fairly revolutionary thing for a group of that influence. They're allowing you, the consumer, to choose how much you would like to pay for it. By going to the album's web page, you choose whether you'd like a digital download or a physical disk, then when you go to the checkout cart, you plug in how much you'd like to pay, in euros. It's a very bold move for them, but I see it paying off very well, especially if people go with the digital download. I know I'll be getting it and putting down probably $10.
I've been thinking about getting a bike. Is this the time of year when they have their clearance sales or should I wait until closer to winter?

I called Comcast today to downgrade my cable tv package to just basic cable. I realized that 1. I needed to save some money and 2. with the advent of downloading and watching episodes online, I could catch the few shows I watch for just a couple dollars a week.Until I had called today however, I never realized how much they are like a credit card company. By the time I was off the phone with customer service I hadn't downgraded my tv package at all. No. I had upgraded!! The moment I said that I was downgrading to save money, I was told about all these package deals and everything she could do to save me $$. After it was all said and done, I move up a tier on my cable and will be paying about $50 less per month. $95 a month versus $145. yay!

Huh...I guess the girl who introduced herself to me is named Tacy, not Casey. At least that's what it says next to the phone number she gave me today.
Oh yeah, and I had an impromptu job interview today. I should know the result next week.
